The rumours about licences well, its more of a what if. What if you needed a gun safety certificate before you could
get a licence. Could you pass a safety test? Keep watching this page and you could.

 

SHOTGUN ETIQUETTE

Remember always carry a gun in a SLIP. Over & Under / Side by Side

 

TAKING THE GUN FROM THE GUNSLIP (yes there is a safe way)

  1. Take hold of the grip-the finger OFF the trigger.
  2. Unzip the slip to half way, reach in and open the gun; or with top opening slips, remove the shotgun from the slip vertically until the TOP LEVER is just exposed.
  3. OPEN the gun and discard the slip.
  4. Grip the stock with the elbow to the rib just above the waist.
  5. Release the hand from the grip the gun being held by the fore end and elbow.
  6. Reach under the trigger and grip the wrist of the hand holding the fore end. the forearm should now be between the trigger guard and the fore end.
  7. Pull the barrels down so that they are vertical and close into the body.
  8. YOU ARE NOW IN THE "T" POSITION.

 

RETURNING THE GUN TO THE GUNSLIP

  1. Gun OPEN, finger OFF trigger, put barrels into slip up to the top leaver.
  2. Check gun is EMPTY, then close the gun and put the rest of the gun into slip.
